All doors that are not hurricane rated must be either shuttered or replaced. Each house will receive one replacement egress door with standard 75% FEMA assistance. All other exterior doors, including doors with transoms and/or sidelights, sliding glass doors, double doors, and French doors will be shuttered.*

Standard doors include one of the following six-panel models:
THERMA-TRU

• 25-gauge smooth steel surface
• Polyurethane foam core for durable energy efficiency
• Solid wood lock block for secure mounting of hardware
• 20-minute fire rating
• Ready-to-paint
• Five-year limited warranty
• FL 14991.1

MASONITE

• 24-gauge smooth steel surface
• Polyurethane foam core for durable energy efficiency
• Solid wood lock block for secure mounting of hardware
• Ready-to-paint
• Limited lifetime warranty
• FL 4904.1

The replacement doors are models that have been tested and approved to withstand impacts and wind forces. You can view upgraded door models here.

Note: Any homeowner who does not want a solid door installed may request that all of their doors be shuttered. All doors are primed and ready for paint.

*Additional doors may be replaced. The homeowner, however, will be 100% responsible for the cost above that required to shutter the opening.
